A few months ago, I've published an article on Sex Machines and it quickly became my second most popular article. The problem is that most of them come with Vac-U-Lock Attachments as standard and since there isn't much information out there on this system. So I figured I should contribute!

Intro

Vac-U-Lock is Doc Johnson's attempt at making an attachment compatible system for Sex toys.

Every toy comes equipped with a hole in their base and the attachments are made to plug into that said hole. The shape of the plug causes a vacuum once inserted and should be very stable during use.

Also note that there are of ton of toys and accessories represented in this article and for the sake of simplicity we've excluded the individual descriptions of each entry. Doc Johnson offers plenty of dildos for their vac-u-lock system, sadly most of them aren't body-safe and come in porous and impossible to sanitize materials.

So avoiding their UR3 and jelly toys is essential if you want to keep your nether regions happy.

With that being said, they do offer a few silicone options that are entirely safe to use.

And as always, don't use the refresh powder they give you, there's no reason you should use that on any silicone toy and it's a bit of a weird move on their part. Although it can be used to make inserting and removing your attachments easier if put some inside of the hole, it is by no means a "refresh powder" for silicone.

Unofficial Vac-U-Lock Toys

While the official toys are pretty swell and all, you can never have too much choice when it comes to sex toys since everyone's needs are different.

Third-party companies also offer a level of quality and variety that you won't find in Doc Johnson's budget options mentioned above.

So whether you're looking for ultra-realistic, fantasy or very large toys, there's bound to be something for you.

Other Non-Vac-U-Lock Toys

While your level of success might vary from model to model, a lot of dildos with vibrating bullet holes will work with the Vac-U-Lock system.

It is worth noting that the traditional bullet holes found on most toys are a bit smaller than the Vac-U-Lock Holes.

This solution usually works better with less rigid silicone blends.

Of course, the size of the holes will make insertion a bit more difficult, but with a bit of water-based lube, you should be able to make them fit without too much work.

The Vac-U-Lock attachments will also stretch out the toys and make them bulge out at the base a little bit, but most silicone toys can handle quite a bit of stretching without tearing.

This wasn't stress tested through time and you might end up breaking your toy over extended use.

It is by no means an optimal solution, so use this knowledge at your own risk.

Otherwise, toys with no holes at all still can be converted into Vac-U-Lock compatible toys if you're a little handy.
Just make sure to practice on a cheap toy if you don't want to ruin your favorite high-end dildo.

Vac-U-Lock Harnesses

If you're planning on getting a Vac-U-Lock Harness, there are plenty of options to pick from.

The Biggest advantage with these harnesses is that they're some of the most stable options in the strap-on world. This is because the Vac-U-Lock adapter leaves no room for wiggling around like most classic O-Ring systems.

And in general, they're all pretty cheap, which is a big plus for people starting out.

That being said, The Vac-U-Lock Harness system is by no means perfect.

You see, the square base on every Vac-U-Lock Adapter might become a little uncomfortable over extended and/or rough play.

But if you replace the adapter with a Vac-U-Lock Suction cup, nothing stops you from using regular universal O-ring harness.

So unless you enjoy a bruised up pubic bone, you might want to invest in a comfortable (but more expensive) Strap-on like the great Joque harnesses.

A big issue with the Vac-U-Lock hole is that it is too wide to fit traditionally shaped bullet vibes.
